This blog was created spontaneously by a design geek, who had a passion about design, and more specifically about architecture and interior design, since I was a child. However, Ι ended up studying naval architecture just to discover it had less design than I expected. This is when I decided that I had to put some creativity in my life. I started designing and creating my own jewellery and while I was living abroad, I undertook interior design courses in Westminster university. This was before I decided to come back home, to Athens. Although I still work in the shipping industry, the interior design is still my big love and hobby.

The idea to create this blog came to my mind due to the lack of guidance and information regarding design and more specifically interior design in Athens and in Greece. I realised this when I moved back to Athens and after being away to London for many years, I didn’t know where to search for furniture etc. The online search wouldn’t lead anywhere as only few Greek stores have informed websites and I couldn’t search for specific stores as I didn’t even know which were the right stores for what I was looking for. Then, I tried to find Greek interior design magazines and online blogs, but the first are focusing only on photo shooting of design homes and advertisements and the latter don’t exist unless it is part of a brand’s website.

So I ended up walking around in the city to explore which are the hottest spots for anything I was looking for. And this is how I thought to transfer all this wisdom and to share my passion with you… through this blog. As I always wanted to find a social media platform to express myself and to share my interests and hobby rather than my personal life (which has much less interest). 

I hope this blog to end up being more than this as it evolves… to share ideas about interior design even abroad, to meet together talented Greek and foreign designers, to create a network of people who share the same love for design and to stay informed about all new trends.
