Or, how to shop online even for furniture. Dedicated with love to all those “lazybones” who are too lazy to move and prefer to do shopping therapy from their sofas. On the other hand, why not? Don’t judge from me, that I love running around stores all day long looking at furniture and accessories. Why bother with traffic if you know what you want, and now you can get it with just a few clicks?

Most stores, even in Greece (we were a bit late, it’s true, but we almost made it), have websites where you can see their products, but not necessarily do online shopping, as there isn’t an e-shop. But in this article, I would like to focus on those brands that you can find and shop online, either because they don’t have a physical shop or because they are based outside of Athens or abroad.

  • BeCube Project (Thessaloniki), shop: 38 Paraskevoopoulou, Thessaloniki, website: https://becubeproject.com/
An idea by its founder, Thomas Gkapiros, who along with his team is trying to bring us in contact with natural materials. They create various furniture and constructions primarily from wood. Here you will find amazing vintage buffets like this one with art linear designs. Also, the vintage bar table in a striking green color is eye-catching.

  • Start Artworks (Thessaloniki), shop: 98 Mitropoleos, Thessaloniki, website: https://startartworks.com/?v=cd941bfdbc84
This amazing gallery has been mentioned in a previous article, and I think I will keep bringing it up since I really like the art works it hosts. Since it’s based in Thessaloniki, if you don’t have the chance to visit, you can also order online. Check out some limited edition paintings like Periptero by Carolina Rovithi before they sell out, and discover the child within you with the Mickey Mouse sculpture by VMixo.

  • Perspective, website: https://www.perspectiveshop.gr/
If you can’t invest in paintings and artworks, a beautiful solution is posters. Perspective has no physical store, only an e-shop where you can order posters inspired by Bauhaus, Abstract, Cocktails, Famous Streets, and many other themes.

From abroad… with love

Here I’m talking about the luxury of not needing your aunt from Chicago to bring you a gift from abroad. But I’m referring to all these wonderful brands from abroad that I’ve discovered over the years, where you can order things without needing to use the Aegean pass.
As you can imagine, we have many more options here, and it wouldn’t be possible to cover them all in one article, so I’ll focus on sites related to furniture and décor and will return in future articles to cover the rest.

Let’s begin…

  • Marlot Baus (Spain), https://marlotbaus.com/en
One of my favourite sites that I often admire. Beautiful tables, small and large, made of micro-cement, sometimes combined with glass or wood, bringing the minimalism of clean lines with a boho casual air into your home. The Reye Dining table, starting at 1,490 euros depending on the leg material, is a classic choice, while the Ahumado coffee table, with its curves and made from micro-cement, looks like a sculpture.

  • Khayni (UK), https://www.khayni.com/
Another amazing site. Collections of artisanal furniture made from wood and micro-cement, but also fantastic décor items with an ethnic character and natural materials. Here you’ll find many items that will steal your heart. Turkana bowls in various shapes, handmade from wood by Kenyan women, the Bamum shields in a variety of designs starting at 223.95 euros, and the collectible Toma tables made from wood from Guinea starting at 813.95 euros, will give your space the ethnic touch you’re looking for.

  • Artipieces (France), https://artipieces-decor.com/
Contemporary and some more Art Deco furniture and décor, like sculptures, lights, and paintings, along with fantastic parquet designs. Yes, you heard it correctly! Parquet flooring that will steal the spotlight. Of all of these, I have a soft spot for the Mikala sofa, starting at 3,000 euros, the Gin sofa with a sculptural back, starting at 6,500 euros, and the Bubble sofa, which feels like it’s creating a bubble that embraces you. For parquet, the Chinese 412 and Grape in Black Walnut are elegant choices and different from the ordinary.

  • Zieta Studio (Poland), https://www.zieta.pl/en
A company that takes art and creativity seriously, always keeping sustainability in mind. Their creations, typically made from steel, aluminum, and copper, are all recyclable. On their site, you’ll find seating, mirrors, wall creations, tables, consoles, lighting, and various décor items. The Rondo mirrors, which are also works of art in different sizes and colors, are a big trend lately, as are the Plopp stools made of inox, combining the industrial look with high-end design.

  • Coco home living Angela de Kam (Netherlands), https://cocohomeliving.nl/
Impressive small furniture and décor with ethnic character, mostly from Bali, where you can find very unique pieces. The Banana leaf chair from 275 euros, and for a different décor piece, the carved surfboards, carved 1/2, starting at 165 euros, will be the centerpiece of the room.

  • Marbera (France & Dubai), https://marbera-studio.com/
If you love the luxury of marble and are looking for unique creations made from it, this brand will satisfy you. Since it’s a luxurious material, the prices are accordingly, but I’m sure that the Gaia tables in rose onyx or the Cohesion coffee table with shell onyx will blow you away.
  • Noo.ma (Poland), https://noo.ma/collections/all
Contemporary furniture and accessories with dedication to transparency, sustainability, and environmentally conscious practices. The Rull bench in Blueberry Pie wool starting at 349 euros will add color and character to a hallway or living room. The Nokk stool, in three colors, is minimal yet designed with style, starting at 272 euros.

  • Maison Figueras (Barcelona), https://maisonfigueras.com/
If you’d like your home to resemble a gallery, pay attention to the following furniture. The Emely couch chair, which looks like a flower, or the Spider sofa. Most of the products are replicas of famous designers but offer a very good and affordable solution for someone who can’t afford huge amounts.

  • Vaunt design (UK), https://vauntdesign.com/
Another site with furniture and décor in simple lines and a boho vibe. The Kobe buffet made from mango wood with geometric details will highlight your living room or dining room with its simple ethnic character (starting at 1,298.95 euros), while the rustic Mugge pitcher will adorn any corner, whether or not it has flowers in it.

  • Monteo concept (Bulgaria), https://monteoconcept.com/
They cater to businesses like hotels, as well as private individuals. You don’t order in the usual way, but rather inform them of the products you’re interested in and give your email for them to contact you. Here, you’ll find many boho elements, as well as contemporary furniture. I have highlighted the Nika hanging ceiling lamp starting at 159 euros and the Scorpiones table made of wood and marble starting at 1,110 euros.

Online shopping is certainly not for everyone, and there will always be those who are hesitant to invest, especially in furniture, a large amount without seeing it up close. However, times are changing, and in recent years, more and more of us are getting used to the idea and using it for everyday purchases. And if you can trust a Chinese site (you know which one I’m talking about), why not trust some others (of course, after you’ve checked them first) when they can transform your space with pieces that you can’t find everywhere.

Until next time!!!
